Table of Contents

  1. Geospatial Analysis Skills: Review and Self-Assessment
  2. Setting up Your Workspace
  3. Datums, Projections, and Spatial Reference Systems
  4. Working with Database Tables
  5. Adding XY Data
  6. Proximity and Overlay Operations

In this activity, you review the concepts, methods, and skills learned during previous coursework. The Skill Drills presented here use the knowledge you have learned earlier, including tutorials covered in Geospatial Concepts: The Fundamentals of Geospatial Science (Figure 1.1). Therefore, the instructions do not contain many step-by-step details. You should refer to previous tutorials and videos if needed.

If you have a copy of the Geospatal Concepts eBook, use the Kindle Reader for PC application for the best experience.

This activity is designed to help you test areas of knowledge that need additional study. If it has been some time since you have used geospatial software, this activity is designed to help you get back on track. There are very few step-by-step instructions provided during this activity. Instead, you will be given a series of problems to solve.
